Terms of use

The plain terms.

These terms apply when you use a Bhaashi account, Stories or this website. Effective 6 November 2026.

Who we are

Bhaashi is a trading name of its founder, a sole proprietor ("Bhaashi", "we", "us"). You can reach us through the contact form.

Who can use Bhaashi

You must be an adult (18 or older) to hold a Bhaashi account. Children may listen to and read stories with a parent or guardian who holds the account and is responsible for how it is used.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account.

Stories is in beta

Stories is an early, invitation-only service. Features may change, pause or stop, and there may be mistakes. There is no charge during the beta. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you first and you will choose whether to use them.

AI-written chapters

Stories uses AI to write chapters and to read them aloud. We guide it toward gentle, age-appropriate stories, but it can still get things wrong. Please read each chapter before your child hears it, and change or replace anything you don't want.

Your content

The ideas, settings and edits you put into Stories, and the chapters made for your books, are yours to keep and use for your family. You allow us to store and process them only to provide Stories to you, including sending them to the service providers named in our privacy policy. We do not publish your stories or use them to train AI models.

Fair use

  • Don't use Bhaashi to make content that harms children or anyone else, or that breaks the law.
  • Don't try to get around limits, access other families' data, or disrupt the service.
  • Don't resell or automate access to Bhaashi without our written permission.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Ending things

You can stop using Bhaashi at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may end the beta or close the service; if we do, we will give you notice and a way to keep copies of your stories where we reasonably can.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Bhaashi running and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it (during the free beta, that is zero). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, except where the law of the place you live says otherwise.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will update them here and change the effective date. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in Stories before it takes effect.
